The 3rd International Conference for Cooperative Housing (ICCH, 19)
The world has realized the importance of cooperatives as a successful global model for the social economy, as it works to maximize the role of civil society organizations in achieving sustainable development plans, without burdening the state budget. Additional information. The goals of the United Nations Sustainable Development Program 2030 (UN SDGs) included the necessity of enabling cooperative activities to participate fundamentally in achieving sustainable development goals and plans. Therefore, the General Authority for Construction and Housing Cooperatives organized its third international conference for cooperative housing under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Eng. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, and His Excellency Dr. Eng. Assem Al-Gazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities. The Conference was convened Under the title “The role of cooperative housing in achieving the sustainable development plan 2030” « during the period from 1st -4th of December 2019.
The third international conference concluded that linking the goals of sustainable development to the goals of the Egyptian government, as well as international and regional plans regarding cooperative housing, has become an urgent and prominent matter since cooperatives are deemed to be the most relevant link to sustainable development. Maintaining environmental safety and taking into account the rights of future generations of human resources are one of the the pillars on which the goals and policies of cooperative activities in various countries of the world depend.
